The Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency was created to consolidate investment licensing into a single entry point. In practice it consolidates some of it. Understanding which approvals sit inside ZIDA's remit and which do not is the difference between a realistic timeline and an optimistic one.

Sector-specific permitting — mining title, environmental authorisation, certain financial-services licences — continues to run through its own authorities. ZIDA coordinates; it does not replace them.

This guide sets out the sequence, the documents required at each stage, the fees, and where in the chain applications most often stall.
